Update on Hurricane Bill
Bill the first hurricane of the Atlantic season, has strenghtened to a category 3 storm with winds up to 125 mph and forecasters expect it to strengthen even more.
The National Hurricane Center stated that the Leeward Islands should be monitoring Bill's progress. The hurricane is expected to pass northwest of the islands, but Bill expected to pass near Bermuda.

Update on tropical storm Ana
The people of the island of Antigua experienced heavy rains and winds last night, ANA is expected to to dump 2 to 4 inches of rain over the Northern Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, the US and British Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic today.

Ana & Bill
Tropical storm watch is still in effect for the Leeward Islands, althought Ana has reduced in intensity, the storm is expected to dump up to six inches of rain in some islands. Landfall is expected late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
If traveling on LIAT, some flights have been suspended, so check with the airline for updates.
Turks & Caicos and the Bahamas are preparing for the likelihood of Tropical Storm Bill intensifying into a hurricane. Bill is expected near Turks and Caicos by Friday.

Update on Ana
The Leeward Island nations are still bracing for tropical storm Ana. Ana's winds according to the National Hurricane Center( arethe NHC is responsible for tracking storms in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and providing watches and warnings) are still sustained at 40 MPH. A tropical storm watch is still in effect for these islands.
The British Virgin Islands government and the Netherlands have already issue warnings to its people. Close on the heel of Ana is Bill which is expected to develop into a hurricane.
